Hello! I’m Joey (They/Them), a product designer living in Phoenix, Arizona, with a passion for creating thoughtful, user-centered designs. My approach to design is deeply influenced by the vibrancy and inspiration I find in everyday life—whether it’s exploring nature, adventuring outdoors, appreciating art, or discovering new flavors in the kitchen. I believe these experiences shape my creativity and make me a well-rounded designer.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to explore a variety of creative paths that have shaped how I approach design today. My background in fashion taught me to look beyond the obvious and seek out the subtleties in aesthetics—those small details that make something stand out. Graphic design gave me a way to marry visual beauty with functionality, always keeping the end-user in mind. Working in film and TV opened my eyes to the power of storytelling and how essential it is to connect with people on a human level. And through my management experience, I learned the importance of collaboration, how to listen, and how to communicate in ways that bring ideas to life. These diverse experiences have all blended into how I design—thoughtfully, creatively, and with a focus on making things that people love to use.
When I'm not working or creating art, I love spending time in nature. Camping and hiking with friends and loved ones are some of my favorite activities. I also enjoy cooking and sharing good food with the people I care about. Life is all about creating meaningful connections, and I strive to infuse that same sense of connection and empathy into my work.
